Sentinels Cloud Pty Ltd (ABN 69 663 245 912, "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Enquiries and bookings. When you use our contact, booking or quote forms we collect what you enter: usually your name, email, phone number, organisation and message, and any booking date and time you choose.
- Free Cyber Security Assessment. Your answers stay in your own browser. They are only sent to us if you choose to request a report or a follow-up, together with the contact details you enter.
- Free online tools. The email security, DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI and blacklist tools look up the domain or IP address you enter. The open port checker tests the IP address you are visiting from. Results may be cached on our server for a short time so repeat checks are fast.
- Basic technical data. Like any website, our server sees your IP address and browser details. We use a one-way hash of your IP address for a short time to stop abuse of our forms and tools. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, arrange the services you ask for, send reports you request, keep our website secure and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We only share information with service providers who help us run this website and our business, and only as needed:
- SMTP2GO delivers form submissions and report emails to our team.
- Hostinger hosts this website.
- Public DNS resolvers (Cloudflare and Google) and public blocklist services receive the domain or IP address you look up with our tools.
- Anthropic receives the technical results of an email security check (not your contact details) when you ask our tool to explain the results in plain English.
Some of these providers may store or process information outside Australia. We choose reputable providers and only send the minimum needed. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Information stored in your browser
Our Cyber Security Assessment saves your answers in your browser's local storage so you can come back to them. You can clear them at any time with the "forget my answers" option on that page. Our remote-support prompt remembers, for that browser session only, that you have already seen it.
Keeping it secure
This website is served over HTTPS only, form data is sent over encrypted connections, and access to enquiries is limited to our staff. We keep enquiry information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
Access and correction
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can fix it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Our services for clients
When we provide managed IT services, the handling of client data is also covered by our service agreement with that client.
